Review:
I know a lot of people who have read this book and said it was fantastic, so I thought I would give it a try. I LOVED it! I loved the idea, all of the rules in this particular society, the fact that the government chooses a life mate for you, and that nobody questions it (which is usually how all of these books start...) I'm super curious about who set Cassia up and made the "mistake". It is going to drive me crazy not knowing where this story is going, but I love it when an author is capable of making the reader feel that way! Will Cassia find what she's looking for? Will she get caught? AAAAHHHH!!!! If you loved The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, etc. you will love Matched! Happy Reading!

  1. I am surprised that it is compared to Maze Runner. From what I have heard about it most people just talk about the relationship aspect of it, something that I never really got from Maze Runner. When I first heard about this book I was not interested. Then when I saw the cover of the next book, Crossed, I became more interested (yes, I judge books 90% by their covers). Thank you for the review I may consider reading it at some point now. Something I probably never would have done.

  2. Michelle, I LOVED this book, but I'm not sure you would. There is a HUGE focus on relationships because that is what the book is mainly about - being matched with someone of the opposite sex who is essentially "perfect" for you. I wasn't comparing it to The Maze Runner, but this is also a dystopian novel. I can't WAIT to read Crossed!!!!!

  3. I see. Well I don't mind relationships but when they are all angsty and the drama is all center focus while the world ending is background, then I get a little bored. Like the book I'm reading right now. Girl is in a life or death situation and all she can think about is what her hair looks like....
